My husband has had many hobbies; each one ridiculous and/or short lived. When he suddenly decided at the end of the summer that his new hobby would be making bread, I was skeptical. I had visions of costly machinery and large supplies of baking items...plus he had never baked anything...in his life.
After some internet research, he decided to use the bread making process found in a book called "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day".
A large box from King Arthur Flour was soon delivered to our door (only a man would order flour on the internet). So...
The bread is good. Really good. When he made this walnut-cinnamon-raisin swirly bread I told him he made the blog.
The only problem? "Girl, I think my butt gettin' big."
Welcome to the big butt club. I love that cook book, sadly, I have the healthy 5 min a day version. Basically I have a healthy big butt. I teach 3rd graders to cook and having the dough pre-made is a life saver. And why would you not want to shove hot fresh bread in your face every flipi'n day?? If he orders flour online does he ship walnut swirl bread too? Just askin.

Hot fresh bread AND butter...heaven. We also have the healthy version of the book and that bread is just as good (unfortunately).

You're going to love King Arthur's flour. I'm also hooked on their catalog and all it's wonderful stuff. When I travel south I always pick up flour (it's milled differently than what's available up north), southern mayonnaise (Blue Plate or Duke's) and grits!!
And sorry to say, yes, that bread makes your butt look big!!! I only wish my husband would take up baking bread again. He baked bread when he was in college, because of a lack of $$$$. Just enjoy his new hobby.

I'm surprised the loaf made it long enough for you to take a picture. I have trouble controlling myself when it comes to delicious bread.
