The Cuckoo Clock was the first workshop I signed up for. I love cute and practical things and the teacher was Charlotte Lyons. Charlotte is one my first blog friends, always a source of inspiration and encouragement for me, and the best "make something from nothing" artist I know. Meeting Charlotte was a highlight of the workshop (visit her at house wren studio for a workshop giveaway this week).
Meeting Wendi was another highlight. We found out at lunch that we were both big doe-c-doe fans with me confessing that I felt like a crazy stalker with all of the "favorites" of Gina's that I added in my flickr account. Wendi owns the "hi" plate...the coolest plate in the world. How two people can meet and know about the same plate is one of life's mysteries.
So...this is my Wendi clock. When we all sat down to start of our clocks, Wendi pulled out a stash of supplies that quickly made me neglect everything I had schlepped to the workshop. I made my clock using only things from Wendi's supplies. The cool bird paper, a roll of wrapping paper, paper that looked like old rulers.
And a chipboard number 3 because, like Wendi, I've got three kids. And 3 is the coolest number.
YEA! the wendi clock!
thanks for the shout out on your blog...
i'm very honored indeed!
