Homemade pudding sounds like something that would be complicated (with words like "stir constantly" and "sieve") but it's not. And it is so much better than a mix or the plastic-tasting stuff. Even stirring constantly, it only takes a few minutes. My favorite is the Chocolate or Vanilla Pudding from Everyday Food.
I also like to pour the pudding into coffee cups...toss a couple of mini-marshmallows on top and it looks like hot chocolate.
Yum, yum, yum! Whenever I think of chocolate pudding, it is the recipe in an old 1950's Baker's Chocolate cookbook that Mother used to make (and I make now - but only occasionally) that brings fond memories for me. We used to love it with evaporated milk poured over top.
Now I want some.

Adding the marshmallows is a nice idea. And the recipe sounds good as well. BTW I have that same set of dishes; found 4 eight piece place settings for $16 at the local GW.

I am a pudding fanatic. My mother used to make cream puffs and fill them with pudding...haven't thought about those in along time. :-) -amy

Love the cups. I have the matching platter. A gift from my friend's mom.
Great idea with the pudding in coffee cups.
Just the other day I made Jell-O (in a boring container, I'm afraid)with marshmallows on top. My Nicholas laughed at me, saying it was a silly idea... and then ate it up with a smile on his lips!!
