I got the good news last week...I'm a certified math teacher. Big sigh of relief (and a big thank you to everybody for the always positive input). I know the whole teacher + apple thing is probably annoying to most teachers but I couldn't resist this apple at the thrift store. When I have my own classroom, it will be cute.
Thanks for the Penny love this week. Things are settling down a little bit with our other dog and two cats...slight downgrade in the growling and hissing. I've done a little shopping for Penny on etsy and will share the tiny treasures soon.
Finally, I created a tutorial for a regular-size patchwork clipboard that I'll be posting tomorrow. It's very easy and, best of all, very giftable.
congratulations! I am in school for elementary education and can not wait for the day that I can post a similar post. And for what it is worth....I love the apple, and plan to have one of my own on my desk someday...maybe filled with tootsie rolls for good students :)

Congrats! What an accomplishment!
I was a substitute nurse for our school district for a while, and gained a new appreciation for teachers. Oh, yeah!
Looking forward to the tutorial.

Congratulations Julie!
(BTW, I went to the sale at your church and didnt see the tablecloth there at all. How funny I would find it at the thrift. The ornaments were from a different thrift.)

Congratulations! Now I know who to e-mail for help with my daughter's homework. (me+math=bad) That apple is great - much cooler than most of the stuff that lands on teachers' desks.

Congratulations! looks good for a "teacher apple". :) myself, as a music teacher, I draw the line at canvas bags with piano keyboard handles that say "music is noteworthy". :) Kelly

Yippee!!! Congratulations to you! I am happy for you. If I could be any kind of teacher , math would be the last on my list of talents.
Great job!!
