The kids asked why I was wearing an apron this morning and when I told them why I think they were a little suspicious thinking "a national holiday?" My daughter wants to wear hers too so I may post some more pix later today.
It seems like every apron has a little story...the one I'm wearing today is my latest find. It's a little hard to see but the waistband and hemline are all hand embroidered in a pattern using the dots of the fabric as a guide...such beautiful handiwork. Vintage or new, pretty or practical...just wear it!
I'm back for a quick update...my little apron partner was too crabby to put her apron on today...that's the hard life of a kindergarten student. I've worn mine all day and have to say I have done an awful lot...catching up on some laundry, ironing (this is very unusual for me), and, for some strange reason, I vacuumed the bathroom floors. I think this vintage apron is putting off a good domestic vibe...will have to try this more often.
So adorable! Thanks so much for posting...I will add your pic to the site today!

Fab apron! I had no idea yesterday was National Wear Your Apron Day. And I totally missed it. Do you think we could extend it to Wear Your Apron Week?

Oh Lord, if ONLY puttin on an apron would make me want to clean! Maybe I'll just go ahead and give it a try...couldn't hurt! ;-)

That's a very sweet apron! And it looks very chic with your basic black T and capris.
