As promised (what was I thinking!), here is my newly painted furniture...
I hope not everyone is thinking..."that's it?" I never thought the weather would play such a factor in my project...it's still raining here and impossible to get a really good picture.
I'm happy with it...I just love the shape of this dresser...look at the cool little feet. More pics...
I really admire those crafty girls that can also teach...I'm still not one of those. Would you like to see a tutorial from me where I:
No, believe me, you wouldn't. So anyway...I am happy I tried this blog experiment. The furniture really fits it's purpose in our little "retro" family room (that last pic is to give you an idea of the other furniture and stuff in the room)...and I told my husband that the dresser would look great with a nice new flat screen TV...so he's working on that. And all of this fun started with $18.18 at the thrift store...
You did a fantastic job! It looks great in your room!

It looks fantastic. I have to say I'm a touch jealous of your find. Congratulations on finishing the project--you got it done quickly!

It looks amazing... and I hear you about the crazy rain. It is really making me sad - it hasn't stopped all week!

Subtle and elegant...a beautiful transformation! (Hey, I see picnic tins. I have a HUGE collection of them. Do you love them, too?)

It is so BEAUTIFUL! I Love it, especially the little label plackets. I really want to try to incorporate some more modern style pieces of furniture into my home. Your tutorial sounds like me. I always mess something up royally before I do it right!

Wow, what a terrific job you did. My passion is trash to treasure make-overs & I love it when people show them on blogs. The modern style on this piece is so neat - I love those legs and it looks great in the color choice & with the tags you added.
I get more motivated when I see blog projects - I'm in the process of sanding, priming & painting some thrift store chairs. I made the great discovery of spray can primer! I don't know why I never thought of that before, could be 'cuz of the need to be outside, fumes & all, but what a difference it makes in time & better coverage. I still use cans of paint to get the better choice of colors.
Keep up the good work! :)
