buttons
Analise at sugar*sugar sent out a button challenge last week. The challenge? Show your buttons. I can do that.
I never "got" the vintage button thing. I just didn't know what I would use them for. The first vintage buttons I ever had came from a giveaway from Analise...and now I "get" it. I have a very, very small stash of buttons but they are so fun to use and look at. Sorting through the buttons and arranging them for a picture is something that I could do all day long. I limited myself to a cup of buttons and three button flowers. And...when my family started asking "what's for dinner?" I answered with an "I've been busy"...

I love buttons. The funny thing is that my mum hates buttons..I've always wondered why.Even more strange is that her maiden name was ..Button!!
I love your blog!Sal;-)

Perhaps your collection is not that big, but it is beautiful! Enjoy! I love the way you have put your buttons on that vintage (cannot remember the word for clothes template) paper. Nice to meet you btw!

They are all so lovely but the last pic really caught my eye...love the rust colored button (with the white floral border) at 11 o'clock....unique and very pretty!
I'm a first time visitor but I will be back...

That little brown number with the leaves & flowers - I love! It would be charming on an orange apron, hint hint! I've noticed so many pastels on the flickr - but you've done the browns proud!

I have been crazy about buttons since i was a child. My great Grandmother Mary Moore Thompson had a button box. It was a fruitcake tin filled with buttons she had taken off her cast off dresses and Papa Noah's suits and shirts.
I never had anyone to understand about buttons until I had grandchildren. My own kids just thought me eccentric!

I got the what's for dinner question tonight too and my answer was exactly the same as yours. :o) I love the pictures you took.
