not really a baby boomer
I found out a couple of years ago that technically I'm a baby boomer (did you know it goes all the way to 1964?). Me? No. The Graduate? Actually more like Animal House, Porky's, and Sixteen Candles. The British Invasion? You mean Madness, Fine Young Cannibals, and A Flock of Seagulls right? Did I just write the words "A Flock of Seagulls"?...yikes!
So, anyway, I'm 45 today. It doesn't bother me a bit to be a little older. Everybody always tells me that I look younger than that and having a kid in 1st grade helps add to that illusion. I'm good with that.
There's a little old town near me that is undergoing a nice revival so I'm going to head to Ferguson and hit two of my favorite vintage stores and the cutest little bakery for some birthday treats. If I'm lucky enough to find something, I'll let you know!

The last time I was in Ferguson they had taken all the street signs down. Argh!
Hapde Burfday to you!

I'm Sixty.
So I'm "technically" a boomer too. We can choose to reject any label society puts on us!
I don't mind being a boomer, I'm embracing it until it becomes cool and then I'm rejecting it.
Have a great birthday. Buy yourself something nice!

Happy Birthday!
I was born in 1962 as well. (Birthday still to come.)
I thought we were in that no man's land between the Boomers and Gen X.
WHERE did you find that tea towel?

Wow, I did not know that I am one too. I just turned 46 last month, and don't want to leave my 40's. I am enjoying them too much. My 20's and 30's are a blur, that was when my children had all my attention 24/7, now that has eased up some.
Happy Birthday.
I visit your blog but have never commented, I enjoy it alot.

Nine is my lucky number. Your age adds up to that ... how lucky. My age adds up to that too, but ... let's just say that I am not quite a lucky as you.
Happy Birthday

Well, I'm in the club too! I was suprised to learn a while back that 1963 qualifies me as a baby boomer also! Flock of Seaguls! Do you know that I actually have a song on my Ipod by them? Yes siree- brings back lots of good memories! Enjoy your day!

Happy birthday! I, too am on the "edge" of generations. We never fit the generational generalities.

Congrats! A lot of women find that the older they get, the more creative they become.

Happy Birthday! I never would have thought that I am nearly a baby boomer too. How can my mom and I be in the same group?
