etsy holiday

Have you taken the handmade pledge?  I love this idea...and now that I have etsy, it makes buying and giving handmade so easy.  I've bought and received a few etsy goods in the last few weeks...

Img_1853_edited1I received a beautiful package of goodies from my Happy Miscellany swap partner Cathy at Cranberry Cottage.  Cathy sent two bars of her handmade soaps...Cinnamon&Cider and Warm Sugar (yum!).  Check out her etsy shop here.

Lulu_necklaceThis crazy-cute necklace is all mine...from LuLu Sparkles.  It was my birthday gift to myself and I have worn it almost everyday.  I love that this is made from bits and pieces of vintage jewelry and is totally and completely one-of-a- kind.

Whether you have taken the Handmade Pledge or not, we can all surely find or make something handmade...visit your favorite shop and check out the hand crafted items, hit a few craft fairs this season, make that cute item you've seen in a magazine,  encourage your kids to make things...have fun!

I love your necklace! I have already ordered from Etsy!! I also purchased the Japanese embroidery book to make my own gifts. I finished one yesterday and it turned out cute!! I love this idea also!

i loved, loved the cards and envelopes you sent. would love to have a couple of framed prints for my sewing room. i have some pics in some older posts. thanks again so much!

I love the necklace. I have thought of taking the pledge, I'll have to read more about it.

I should have said too that my husband and I are making gifts this year. So I guess I have no excuse not to take the pledge.

I'm participating as much as possible! I also purchased a few etsy goods and added a few new things to my shop - isn't etsy the berries?

I love the necklace! I've added her as a favorite :) I'm working on the handmade Christmas this year!

The handmade pledge is a lovely idea, there is nothing sweeter than a hand made item. Our family has made the bulk of our presents for each other over the years and really appreciate etsy as a alternative to mass produced.

Oh no, Etsy is from the devil! Before you know it, you've spent a fortune on all those wonderful handmade things... And children are wailing for lunch because you've spent all morning looking at Etsy, instead of cooking, doing laundy etc... My favourite past time is putting one of my favourite things as a keyword - owl for example - and seeing what turns up. But it really is a wicked place, because people shouldn't make such lovely things! We need money for groceries too!

Anyway, your pendant is very funny, very you, or what I assume you're like just from reading your blog.

ha! yes, i've taken the plege!
As for the gifts you've received, uau! you're lucky...

The neclace is wonderful!

oh you are too sweet! thanks so much for sharing your necklace from me on your blog. I am tickled to bits that you like it :)

Oh that necklace! It's pulling on my heartstrings.

Love all your goodies. You must have been in heaven.
