cinderella

Img_0097_edited One of the biggest things that attracts me to vintage items is color.  I love colors that are just a little bit off ...a dusty pink combined with olive...a yellow sky.

I made this set of notecards from a vintage Cinderella book with great colors.  The cards are each a collage of illustrations and text from the book combined with simple embellishments...brads, plates, and a little bit of glitter on the glass slipper and jewelry.

Darling cards! How I loved that book...read it to my daughters over and over again. And thank you for the link to my weepy blog...hoping to be a happier place soon.

Hello! I just found your adorable blog via flickr. Love the cards that you make!
Hope to see more of your great stuff very soon!

I'm not sure how I ended up here, but I love those cards! I just found a vintage Snow White board game, and I know what you mean about the crazy-disney-old-school color schemes! Lovely to meet you and your weblog! (I may have to add you to my sidebar, if that's alright with you!)

I remember that book too. I found your website this morning and became inspired to make my own cards from a favorite childhood book, The Lonely Doll by Edith Dare. They turned out really cute. So thanks for the inspiration!

I've bookmarked your site and will be back to check on new projects!
